“~ is the best/ ~ is the most”

Among Noun 1, Noun 2 is the most
Noun 2（の中なか）で、Noun 1がいちばん〜
＊You can omit “Noun 2の中で” to say simply “Noun 1 is the most ~.”

日本にほんの食べ物ものの中で、すきやきが一番いちばん好すきです。
I like sukiyaki the most among all Japanese food.

家族かぞくの中で、私の姉あねが一番頭あたまがいい。
My older sister is the smartest among my family.

クラスの中で、デイビッドさんが一番日本語にほんごが上手じょうずです。
David is good at Japanese the most in class.

季節きせつの中で、私は春はるが一番好き。
I like spring the most in all seasons.

どのスポーツが一番好きですか？
Which sports do you like the most?

クラスの中で、誰だれが一番やさしいですか？
Who is the kindest in class?

１年いちねんで、１２月がつが一番忙いそがしいです。
December is the busiest of the year.

１年で、８月が一番ひまです。
August is the least busiest season of the year.

東京とうきょうは、１年で２月が一番寒さむいです。
February is the coldest season of the year in Tokyo.

Tom-san, what is your most favorite movie?

日本では、富士山ふじさんが一番高たかいです。
In Japan, Mt. Fuji is the tallest.

世界せかいでは、エベレストが一番高いです。
In the world, Mt. Everest is the tallest.
